The DC Defenders are back. And they come with the best QB in the league. Jordan Ta’amu makes this team instant contenders. If you’re from DC and an XFL fan, check out the top 5 most interesting DC Defenders players.
Number 1: Jordan Ta’amu QB
Obviously, he has to be number one. The Patrick Mahomes of the XFL. Best player in the league by far. Using mobility and arm talent, he is just incredible to watch. And it’s not just my opinion, XFL news hub ranks him the number one QB in the league. If you want to check out the whole thing you can click here.
Number 2: Chad Hansen WR
A former 4th round pick out of Cal, he comes to prove himself. Drafted by the Jets, could he just be another player that they messed up? At 6’2” he has great size and slightly above average speed for the position. As a junior in college, he recorded 92 receptions for 1,249 yards and 11 touchdowns. So the question here is, can he live into some untapped potential that NFL teams couldn’t get out of him? He is a hard worker walking on to Cal after a season at Idaho State. Don’t be surprised if he quickly turns into a favorite target of Jordan Ta’amu.
Number 3: Francis Bernard LB
After high school, he went on a 2 year long mission trip. He went to BYU, and had to leave after 2 years there because of violating a rule there. He then transferred to Utah, and he started there his senior year being decently productive. Bernard is a pretty slow linebacker running a 4.8 which to put in perspective is around my speed. Not the type of speed you want to see. I haven’t seen him play to much recently, so lets hope that he has improved on that or at least plays faster than that. Maybe he’s it’s because he’s old.
Number 4: Ryquell Armstead RB
Runs a 4.4 40 and 220, this man is a beast. Incredible stats in high school and college, he was drafted in the 5th round. As a rookie, he was reasonably productive, with over 250 yards of scrimmage yards. I really hope this man can be great because he used to be one of my favorite players in madden.
Number 5: Pooka Williams RB
Another Running Back, and a consensus 4 star coming out of high school. He then went to Kansas, so maybe not the smartest choice to be honest. He averaged an incredible 7 yards per carry as a freshman and was fantastic again in his sophomore season. What’s more, Williams ran a 4.36 40 but is on the small side for a running back. If he can get back to his top level performance, I’m not sure anybody can stop him.
